Rayleigh & Jacey: Country Vibes & Best Friend Energy

There’s just something so special about best friend sessions—especially when it’s with two people who are as fun, radiant, and full of life as Rayleigh and Jacey. We met up at Seven Islands Birding State Park on one of the hottest and most humid days of the summer (seriously, the air felt like a warm hug from Mother Nature herself), but that didn’t slow these two down one bit. If anything, the heat just added to the wild, carefree energy of the session.

I’ve had the joy of photographing Jacey before, so when I found out I’d be shooting her again—this time with her best friend Rayleigh—I couldn’t wait. There’s something so natural about photographing people who feel completely at ease with each other, and these two? They’re the definition of best friend chemistry.

They showed up in the cutest country-inspired outfits—think boots, denim, and all the charm you’d expect from a Southern summer—and their energy was everything. From the very first click of the shutter, there was non-stop laughter, playful teasing, and the kind of joy you just can’t fake. They twirled through tall grass, leaned into each other for sweet moments, and made even the steamiest weather feel light and easy.

The golden tones of the park mixed with their bubbly personalities created a dreamy kind of magic. Whether they were striking a pose or caught mid-giggle, every frame felt full of friendship and fun. It wasn’t about perfect poses—it was about capturing them exactly as they are: genuine, silly, connected, and completely beautiful.
